research assistant in EECS' Social Computing Lab project studying how people use
generative AI to make sense of emotionally complex or ambiguous situations
requiring subjective interpretation, like a tarot reading.
the first half of the study is qualitative;
wrote recruitment survey questions, leads participant interviews,
conducts thematic analysis on interview data.
the second half of the study will be quantitative, and will use
a web app -- which we have built -- to give participants tarot
readings, some of which with embedded AI interpretations, and
measure their responses. I currently assist in fine-tuning and
developing the methodology for the quantitative study.
